Credit Controller

Smallridge Bros Ltd have a requirement for an experienced Credit Controller to work from the Collabear depot. This would be an excellent opportunity for the right candidate looking for a long-term career working for a rewarding company.
The role will initially be three days a week (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday) on a one-year fixed term contract, with the possibility of additional hours throughout the year and the high possibility of a permanent contract at the end of the fixed term period.
Reporting into the financial controller, your duties will be as follows:
- Chase debts using telephone, e-mail and letter, with support from depot administrators
- Regularly review outstanding debt with the financial controller
- Respond to all queries identified during the collection process, and chase for prompt resolution of the queries
- Be responsible for sending routine customer correspondence, including monthly statements, chasing letters, final demands etc.
- Review and improvement of existing processes
- Project work relating to credit control and customer accounts
In order to be successful, you must have:
- Previous experience of working in a similar position
- Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cooperatively and contribute to the team
- The ability to be able to develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and customer alike
- Good IT skills with excellent attention to detail
- A willingness to learn new skills
